When
I met him first, he was living in a small village near
Eskisehir for more than 30 years. He has recently moved
to Eskisehir city center for its better living
standards. In a small workshop, he works non-stop 10
hours a day. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw
his pipes (please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to
impress you). A simply needle-work on a pipe! Excellent
patterns with a harmonious deployment all over the bowl,
shank and stem. These patterns should definitely need a
supernatural patience. Otherwise impossible I believe.
When I thought of a block of raw meerschaum, my words
will not be enough to express my admiration of how he
could transform a "stone" to such a beautiful pipe that
amazes anybody who has seen it. Thanks God we have such
a craftsman here in our business. Just a small note too,
these pictures don't do them justice. Believe me.
